Dj Ecool

When Dj  ECOOL was nominated for “Best World DJ” at the 2011 Nigerian Entertainment Awards, it made sense. Granted, he is the People’s Favorite DJ.

Atlanta based DJ ECOOL is one of the world’s most in demand Nigerian DJ’s spinning everywhere from Chicago, Charlotte, Lagos, London, Paris and of course, Atlanta where he keeps the party going at hotspots like Velvet Room, Mansion Elan, Reign Night Club, Compound, Metro Fuxon, with current residencies at Arif Lounge and Queens. 

With past stints at venues such as Liquid Lounge (2009), Cream Lounge (2010-2012) and Dj ECOOL has gone on to work with artists such as Wizkid, Davido, Sound Sultan, D’Banj, Ludacris, Victoria Kimani, Doug E. Fresh, Samklef, Banky W, Skales, 2 Face and many more.

But the musically inclined DJ isn’t just well versed on the 1’s and 2’s. Born and bred in Nigeria, DJ ECOOL started playing the drums at the ripe age of 5 which years later he would master. Drum playing led him to beat making which transitioned to DJing which he took on in 2006 first capturing the London scene.

“I’m guaranteed to keep you on the dance floor,” Dj ECOOL boasts. “You’ll hear everything from hip-hop, Afrobeats, pop, R&B, everything. I’ll take you all around the world in one play.”

And indeed he does.Dj ECOOL’s mixtapes have gone on to be co-signed by global brands and artists such as L3 Magazine, Victoria Kimani, etc.
